Da Hollywood a Kiev, una stella “embedded”. Sean PennMadonna’s ex-husband, actor and director, 61 years old, is in Ukraine to film a documentary on the Russian invasion. “Newsweek” reports it today. The actor, who won an Academy Award for “Milk”, the film that tells the story of a homosexual activist in San Francisco, was seen today in Kiev during a press conference of Ukrainian authorities.
The documentary, which Penn has been working on for months, is a Vice Studios production with Vice World News and Endeavor Content. The actor was already in Ukraine last year to prepare the shooting with meetings with the local armed forces. Photos of the November visit were published at the time by the press service of the Kiev army.
This time, since his arrival last week, the actor met with members of the president’s office and the deputy prime minister Iryna Vereshchuk, local and military journalists. Sean Penn has several projects on anti-war and humanitarian operations to his credit. These include the documentary “Citizen Penn” which focuses on his efforts in response to the 2010 Haiti earthquake.
