Manama, Bahrain – The 2024 World Formula One Racing Championship (F1) got off to an exciting start at the Bahrain Circuit on March 2nd. Defending champion Max Verstappen, driving for Red Bull, showed his dominance by starting from pole position and cruising to an easy victory with a comfortable lead of over 20 seconds.

Verstappen’s teammate, Sergio Perez, secured the second spot on the podium, while Carlos Sainz of Ferrari claimed third place and the title of best driver in the race. Chinese driver Zhou Guanyu, representing Sauber, had a solid performance by starting 17th on the grid and finishing 11th after utilizing a good start and pit stop strategy, narrowly missing out on scoring points.

There is still room for improvement, and we will continue to work hard to enhance the car’s performance and aim for a stronger showing in the upcoming races in Jeddah and beyond.”

Five teams managed to secure points in the opening race, with Red Bull leading the team standings with 44 points, followed closely by Ferrari and Mercedes. The action-packed season continues with the Saudi Grand Prix scheduled to take place on March 9th, promising more thrilling battles on the track.
