The Galatasaray of our compatriots Julie Vanloo and Hind Ben Abdelkader won its first leg in the eighth finals of the EuroCup basketball for women’s teams on Thursday evening. The Turks won 73-87 against the Polish Enea Gorzow and thus obtained a good starting position for the second match.
Galatasaray had a difficult first quarter, but eventually went into halftime with a 34-45 lead. In the second half the visitors deepened the score even further. The American Myisha Hines-Allen scored no less than 19 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists.
Vanloo (9 points, 1 rebound, 8 assists) and Ben Abdelkader (8 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist) also contributed. The first one again provided the show with a great dribble.

The second leg of the match will take place on Thursday, January 18 in Istanbul.
