IVREA. On Thursday 17 March, a humanitarian convoy headed to Poland will leave Ivrea to transport basic necessities – especially medicines and comfort goods – destined for the Ukrainian people. Among the various means there will also be that made available by the Reapers Torino, a team enrolled in the second division championship of American Football, which also participates in the project with a delegation of players who will personally take care of bringing the goods collected by the humanitarian association Misericordia. of Ivrea. Andrea Canella, president of Reapers Torino explains: «When we were involved in the project, we decided to be physically part of the humanitarian convoy. Sport has always unites people and teaches them to live the community with respect and brotherhood: today is the time to put to good use what sport represents for me and for all the guys on the team, bringing concrete help to the Ukrainian people ».
Family reunification
The vehicles, loaded with goods collected thanks to the solidarity of many citizens of Ivrea and beyond, will be unloaded at the border with Ukraine, but will not return empty: in fact, they will transport mothers and children who have requested family reunification with relatives residing in Italy.
