Chinese Curling Duo Misses Semifinals at Winter Youth Olympics

Gangneung, South Korea – On January 31, the Chinese curling combination of Gong Changyuting and Xu Bokang suffered a defeat at the hands of the Swedish pair Roksin and Meijersson in the mixed pairs quarterfinals of the 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games. The Chinese duo lost by a score of 6 to 9, effectively ending their bid for a spot in the semifinals.

Both Gong Changyuting and Xu Bokang put up a strong fight during the competition, but ultimately fell short against their Swedish opponents. The defeat was a disappointing outcome for the Chinese team, who had been aiming for a spot in the next round of the competition.
