by admin

Innovation and exclusivity: these are the hallmarks of Z Padel Club, the startup that involves padel fans and players from all over Italy. The project, the result of the idea of six Italian entrepreneurs including the 2006 world champion Gianluca Zambrotta, has as its primary objective to ride the wave of padel, a real phenomenon of global trend.

The padel phenomenon

A phenomenon, that of padel, which is infecting millions of people every year at every latitude: at the international level there are 91 countries where padel is played for a total of over 15 million people, while in South America, where the discipline, there are 6 million fans and new markets are on the launch pad in China, Japan and Australia. In Europe the trend has reached 8 million players and, in Italy alone, according to the data collected during the first quarter of the current year, there are more than 1,000 facilities (+ 27% compared to 2020) and over 2,000 fields ( + 34%) with a national average of new facilities equal to 2.8 per region.

Community digitale

The core of the business model of the Z Padel Club startup is represented by a digital community which, thanks to a “Concierge Premium”, manages to organize clinical matches and tournaments for over 1,500 players throughout Italy, a number that is constantly increasing driven by the international trend. To present the project, Z Padel Club has installed two “temporary” fields inaugurated in piazza Gae Aulenti in Milan: these are the latest generation playgrounds on which fans can play from July 1st to August 23rd, by booking online at the following: zpadelclub.com/proleggio-campo. The presentation event culminated with a prestigious inaugural match between former Inter and Milan players: the former Milan world champion Gianluca Zambrotta he challenged, in the company of Cristian Zaccardo, another former Rossoneri champion in 2006, Lele Adani, a former Inter defender, and Nicola Ventola, a former Inter forward, staging an original Milanese “Padel Derby”.

The objectives

“Gae Aulenti’s event is only the first step of a long journey: our goal is to start 5 clubs by the end of 2021 – said Luca Cabassi, CEO of Z Padel Club – We also want to open other clubs within 5 years. 15 direct clubs between temporary, seasonal and permanent, with an average of 4/5 fields for each club. Taking into consideration the great growth of the network, we will need numerous resources: in fact, about 50 total hires are expected in the next 5 years. Our development also includes an expansion towards abroad, that is towards the international market, where we intend to bring the same concept, in particular, to Switzerland and the French Riviera.

Sponsor

The project is supported by important companies such as the technical sponsor Babolat, which like us has the ambition to become a reference point and leader in the world of padel, the main sponsor and official supplier San Bernardo and the sponsor Renord SPA, dealer who has decided to join Zeta Padel in the iconic location by Gae Aulenti to preview the fully electric Nissan Leaf and the Nissan Qashqai Mild Hybrid. Finally, last but not least, it is important to give space to Limonta Sport, a leading company in the world of synthetic herbs, which was chosen by Z Padel Club for the surfaces of the two padel courts installed at Gae Aulenti and, at the same time, also for the creation of a special performing underlay which, placed under the synthetic turf, minimizes the risk of damage and injuries to athletes, absorbing shocks and thus guaranteeing excellent sports performance, concluded Cabassi ».
