If you own a Samsung Galaxy Core, iPhone 6S, LG Optimus L3 II, Huawei Ascend Mate, or any of the other models listed below, you may soon be without access to the popular WhatsApp messaging application. Starting on March 1, smartphones running versions lower than Android 5.0 or iOS 12 will no longer be compatible with WhatsApp.
This change in compatibility was announced last October by WhatsApp, prompting many users to check if their devices meet the new requirements. The list of 35 mobile phones that will no longer be able to use WhatsApp includes models from Samsung, Apple, LG, Huawei, Sony, Lenovo, ZTE, and other brands.
To continue using WhatsApp after March 1, users with affected devices will need to either upgrade to a newer model that meets the minimum requirements or find alternative messaging apps.
