Apple is close to a deal with OpenAi to use the startup’s technology on the iPhone. The move would be part of a larger project aimed at bringing artificial intelligence features to devices.

This is what Bloomberg writes, citing sources close to the company. In detail, Apple and OpenAi are finalizing the details of the agreement to use the ChatGPT features in Apple’s iOS 18, the next iPhone operating system. Apple, Bloomberg continues, has also had contacts with Google, the company controlled by Alphabet, to obtain the licensing for the Gemini chatbot.

According to reports, negotiations are still ongoing and have so far not led to a final agreement.
