At today’s October event, Apple introduced the latest generation of AirPods. The 3rd generation Apple AirPods come with some new features and will be available for CHF 199 from October 26, 2021.
AirPods 3.Gen
The new AirPods remain true to the design of the AirPods and continue to forego the silicone ear inserts that the Pro series uses. There is a new design and very practical IPX4 certification. This means protection against sweat and water and shows Apple’s focus on being and remaining attractive to athletes.
For lovers of good sound, there is also Dolby Atmos, dynamic head tracking and the brilliant 3D audio. In order to differentiate itself from the Pro series, active noise cancellation is missing. For a full comparison there is this page.
Prices
The AirPods 2nd Gen are still available for 139.- CHF. The newly introduced AirPods 3rd Gen cost 199.CHF. The AirPods Pro with MagSave Case offer the finishing touch, 279.- CHF are due for this.
