Apple’s Latest Lunar New Year Film “Little Garlic” Shot on iPhone 15 Pro Max

Apple has recently released its seventh Lunar New Year film, “Little Garlic,” which was shot entirely on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The use of the new 5x telephoto lens and support for USB-C devices in the iPhone 15 Pro Max has greatly improved the convenience and accuracy of video recording.

The film takes advantage of many unique features of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, with the 5x telephoto lens being the most attractive feature. Scenes across the river and close-ups of the Bund were all shot using the 5x telephoto lens. Additionally, the 1x – 5x zoom effect of the iPhone 15 Pro Max is described as smooth and capable of achieving rich zoom in and zoom out effects. The device also supports USB-C accessories, enabling the shooting team to connect monitors, hard drives, microphones, and other equipment, thereby improving on-site and post-processing efficiency.

Moreover, the film makes use of the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s new sports mode and movie effect mode. The sports mode brings stable recording images, allowing photographers to follow action and capture close-fitting but stable shots. The movie effect mode provides smooth subject transition effects.

The production team of “Little Garlic” includes “The Amazing Spider-Man” director, Mark Webb, screenwriter Pan Yiran, actor Fan Wei, and “All or Nothing” art director Li Anran, among others.
