ASUS Zenfone 11 coming soon? It seems ready yes, and there will be an Ultra model

Only a week has passed since the launch of ASUS ROG Phone 8 on the global market, but it seems that the Taiwanese manufacturer is already ready to present another smartphone. Or almost: in the last few hours, in fact, one ASUS Zenfone 11 has been certified from an international telecommunications body, and there seems to be a big change compared to previous models.

Let’s start with what we know for sure: our colleagues at GizmoChina have in fact discovered that ASUS Zenfone 11 has been certified by SDPPI, the telecommunications market regulator of Indonesia and Southeast Asia. The smartphone has model number ASUS_AI2401_H: This is the same model number as an old one listing on the Bluetooth SIG database, which had confirmed the support for Bluetooth 5.4 per lo smartphone.

The real news, this time around, is that the full name of the smartphone is Zenfone 11 Ultra. This means that, at this time, ASUS will release at least two devices, namely the “base” Zenfone 11 and the Zenfone 11 Ultra. Seen the we adopted by the company, we can also hypothesize that between the two models there will also be a “Pro” or “Plus” variant, exactly as happens with Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones.

The differences between ASUS Zenfone 11 and Zenfone 11 Ultra they should be different. The first should be in the screen size, which in the case of Zenfone 11 should remain just below 6″ (one of the distinctive elements of the Zenfone, which we particularly appreciated in our review of the ASUS Zenfone 10), while for the Zenfone 11 Ultra should well exceed 6″settling around 6.2″ or 6.3″.

The second difference should instead lie in the SoC, compared to the basic model it may not be the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 from Qualcomm, but a Snapdragon 8 Gen2 or even a MediaTek chip. The size of the RAM and – given the larger form factor of the Ultra model – the battery size of the two Zenfones should also vary slightly.
