A woman was robbed and attacked by thieves when she returned from picking up her daughter from work. The event occurred this Friday in the Jorge Newbery neighborhood of Córdoba, which is located north of the capital city. The victim and her daughter were attacked with rifle butts and their car and money were stolen.
Around 7 p.m., a woman named Gabriela was driving into her home when she was approached by three criminals, she said in a conversation with ElDoce.tv. The attackers were armed and forced her out of her vehicle.
The woman stated that she told one of the thugs that she was going to give him the car, but to give him time to take off his seat belt. “He just put his hand in there and hit me in the forehead with his rifle butt,” the victim commented.
“They open the door, they try to get me out, I take off my belt and when I’m trying to get it out, he hits me again with his butt,” Gabriela said. The victim immediately got out of the car but her belt went around hers and she began to choke her.
The woman explained that after trying to get out of the car, she was left lying on the sidewalk and that two of the attackers continued hitting her. “You leave, you get in the car and my daughter gets in there because they see that I was hanging myself and she couldn’t breathe,” she explained. When she intervened, the young woman also received a gunshot. “They were very cruel,” the woman concluded.
The assailants took the car and $220,000 that Gabriela had withdrawn from the bank before returning to her home. In addition, the criminals took everything that was inside the car, such as medicines and shoes.
