Bethesda Faces Backlash Over Fallout 4 Update for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC
Last week, Bethesda released a Fallout 4 update for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC, but not everyone is pleased with the changes. PlayStation users who acquired the game through PS Plus Essential or PS Plus Collection did not receive the update, while PC players are experiencing major issues with mods and other technical problems.
On the other hand, Xbox owners appear to be happier with the update, but there are still some strange occurrences. Bethesda has clarified that the Xbox version for Series X is specifically targeted at achieving 4K 60 FPS in all modes. The Performance Mode on Xbox Series X, however, is stated to be more aggressive in lowering settings to maintain this target.
Despite these explanations, players have expressed mixed feelings about the differences in the Xbox version. Some have reported difficulties with the 1440p resolution, while others believe that the update was rushed to capitalize on the popularity of the TV series.
It seems that Bethesda may have overlooked certain details in their haste to release updates, leading to minor issues like running the quality mode at too high a frame rate. As the gaming community continues to provide feedback, Bethesda will need to address these concerns to ensure a seamless gaming experience for all players.
