Capcom’s “Exoprimal” Launches with Limited Cross-Platform Features, Disappointing Players

Capcom’s Latest Game “Exoprimal” Faces Cross-Platform Play Restrictions

Capcom’s upcoming game “Exoprimal” is set to be launched on July 14th, but players are already questioning the game’s cross-platform capabilities. In response to these concerns, Capcom has confirmed that while cross-platform matching is supported, cross-platform team formation will not be possible.

“Exoprimal” is an online dedicated team battle action game where players must form teams to defeat powerful dinosaurs using various attack armors. The game offers both PvPvE (Player versus Player versus Environment) and PvP (Player versus Player) modes. Prior to the game’s release, Capcom announced that cross-platform play would be supported.

However, it appears that the cross-platform play in “Exoprimal” is not as expected. According to the official statement, the game will be divided into three groups based on platforms – Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. Teams will be randomly formed between these three platforms, with each team being built on one of them.

Capcom has assured players that they are exploring ways to allow cross-platform play with friends, but this may take some time to implement. They have also mentioned that they will soon share a roadmap for future updates.

This design restriction means that players cannot add friends from different platforms or team up with them. This falls short of players’ expectations for true cross-platform play. Capcom has acknowledged this gap and tweeted that they are working hard to enable team play among friends on different platforms.

The news has sparked concerns among Capcom fans about whether similar restrictions will be implemented in future games, such as “Monster Hunter.” It remains to be seen if Capcom will improve its connection technology and address these concerns in future releases.

As anticipation builds for the launch of “Exoprimal,” players will have to wait and see if Capcom can deliver a truly seamless cross-platform experience for their gaming community.
