Motion Twin Announces Final Content Update for “Dead Cells” after Five-Year Collaboration with Evil Empire

With global sales exceeding 10 million copies, the Metroidvania masterpiece “Dead Cells” has continued to release updates and DLC content since its release in 2018. According to Motion Twin’s official announcement, “Update 35” is the final journey of “Dead Cells” and the end of their five-year collaboration with Evil Empire.

“Dead Cells Update 35 marks the end of our creative journey with the game,” Motion Twin said in a statement. “After five years of working with Evil Empire to bring additional content to Dead Cells, Evil Empire will Seeking new adventures, we’re eager to see what new titles they come up with next.”

The Evil Empire team, which is responsible for the development of multiple DLCs for “Dead Cells”, has contracted all subsequent DLC development work for “Dead Cells” after the free DLC “Rise of the Giant” in 2019, including “The Bad Seed”, “Fatal Falls”, “The Queen and the Sea”, “Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania” and many other DLCs.
