Electronic Arts’ “Command” Series Dominates European Game Sales in March
In early March this year, Electronic Arts (EA) released a huge sale for the “Command” series, which had a significant impact on the game sales performance in Europe. According to overseas survey channel data, half of the top 20 games in March were from the Commando series.
According to Games Sales Data channel data reported by industry media Gamesindustry.biz, a total of 15.9 million sets of PC and console games were sold in the European market in March, marking a 35% increase compared to the same period last year, exceeding analysts’ expectations.
Among the top-selling games in Europe in March were “Command: Generals” at fourth place, with “Command: Red Alert 2”, “Command: Tiberon Days”, “Ultimate Command”, “Order: Rebels”, and “Order: Red Alert” ranking at 7th to 10th respectively.
The report highlights that 11 of the top 20 sales were from the “Command” series, underlining the popularity and value of these classic games in the European market.
The most notable performance on the sales list was “EA Sports FC 24″ reclaiming the top spot from “Helldivers 2,” with strong sales performances also noted in “Helldivers 2” and “Dragon’s Dogma 2”. Both games have been consistently in the top rankings on various platforms.
In the UK alone, the top three games were “Battlefield 2”, “EA Sports FC 24″, and “Dragon Doctrine 2”, with “Command: Generals” and “Command: Red Alert 2” also making it into the top ten list.
