Meta’s Facebook Messenger to Introduce New Features for High-Definition Images, QR Codes, and Large File Sending

In a recent update announced by Meta, the parent company of Facebook, users of Facebook Messenger will soon be able to send high-definition images, add links using QR codes, and send files up to 100MB. These new features are set to roll out in the coming weeks, enhancing the overall user experience on the popular messaging platform.

Until now, Facebook Messenger only allowed users to send ordinary compressed images, limiting the quality of photos shared on the platform. The upcoming update will finally enable users to send high-definition pictures, simply by selecting the image in the chat room editor, turning on the high-definition switch, and clicking send. Users will also have the option to create photo albums with friends in a group, making it easier to share multiple images seamlessly.

Moreover, the introduction of QR codes will simplify the process of adding contacts on Messenger. Users can now scan other people’s Messenger QR codes or share their own QR codes through links, eliminating the need to enter someone’s name or phone number to connect on the platform.

Additionally, sending large files will no longer be a hassle, as users can now easily attach files up to 100MB in size by clicking the “+” button and selecting the desired file. This update supports all major file formats, such as Word, PDF, and Excel, allowing for seamless sharing of important documents and media.

The enhancements in the upcoming Messenger update are aimed at providing users with more options for communication and file sharing within the platform. Stay tuned for the rollout of these new features in the coming weeks.
