Fortnite introduces new privacy option to turn off “confrontational expression”

In a move towards inclusivity, Epic Games has announced a new privacy option for Fortnite players that will allow them to turn off “confrontational expression”. This feature is designed to give players more control over their gaming experience, particularly when it comes to interactions with other players.

The new privacy option, which will be introduced in today’s update, will initially include four emoticons: Laugh It Up, Take the L, Whipcrack, and Make It Plantain. These emoticons are often used in-game to taunt or make fun of other players after eliminating them in a match.

Players can find this setting in the Social Privacy tab within the Account and Privacy settings sections of the game. They will have the option to toggle between inactive, always active, or allowing only friends in their party to be able to use versus sexual expressions to tease them.

While Fortnite has always embraced a diverse and inclusive community, some players have expressed concerns about the toxic nature of certain interactions in the game. This new privacy option is aimed at addressing those concerns and giving players more control over their gaming experiences. It is likely that more emoticons will be added to the list over time, providing even more customization options for players.
