The app will stop working on these cell phones from May 1

Starting this Wednesday, May 1, WhatsApp will no longer be supported on certain devices and brands. The messaging application requires the latest operating systems for updates, and as a result, users with Android 5.0 or lower operating systems and iPhones with iOS 12 or lower will no longer be able to access the service.

Among the Samsung devices that WhatsApp will stop working on are the Galaxy S4 mini I9195 LTE, Galaxy Ace Plus, Galaxy Core, Galaxy Note 3 Neo LTE+, and Galaxy S4 Active. Additionally, iPhone models such as iPhone 6S, iPhone SE, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 5, and iPhone 6 will also be affected.

Other brands that will no longer support WhatsApp include Motorola models like Moto X and Moto G, Lenovo models like Lenovo S890 and Lenovo A858T, Huawei models like Ascend P6 S and Ascend G525, LG models like Optimus 4X HD P880 and Optimus G, and Sony models like Xperia Z1 and Xperia E3.

Users are encouraged to update their devices to the latest operating systems to continue using WhatsApp. Stay tuned for more updates on this issue.
