Google announced that Google Photos’ advanced photo editing tools will be available for free for all users, on both Android and iOS devices.
This decision eliminates the subscription barrier previously needed to access these features, democratizing high-quality photo editing.
Advanced Google Photos editing is free for everyone from May 15th
From May 15th, Google Photos users will be able to benefit from photo-based editing tools.artificial intelligenceincluding the Magic Eraserthe function Eliminate blur and the Portrait light.
However, Access to these tools will be limited to devices that meet certain minimum requirements. Only those who have operating systems will be able to use it Android 8 o iOS 15 or higher, as well Chromebook Plus con ChromeOS versione 118 or higher.
Magic Editor for Pixel smartphone owners
A further novelty is the introduction of Magic Editor for Google Pixel phone owners. This feature, originally launched with the Pixel 8 series, allows users to do advanced image editing, such as repositioning and resizing subjects, reconstructing missing parts through Google AI’s powerful cloud computing, rather than on the local device.
