The Portuguese company Havelar has developed a very cool 3D printed house that can be printed in just 18 hours.
The 80 m² two-bedroom Havelar house is located in the greater Porto area and was built using a BOD2 printer from COBOD, which was also used for the largest 3D printed building in Europe.

Entry-level house from Havelar for 1,500 euros per square meter
According to COBOD, the houses in Havelar can be manufactured for 1,500 euros per square meter, which contrasts with the average price in Porto of over 3,000 euros per square meter.

This lower price is primarily due to the quick construction of the 3D printer, which presses a cement-like mixture out of a nozzle in layers according to a blueprint and thus builds up the basic structure of the house.

According to the provider, after the actual 3D printing process, it takes about two more months until the windows, doors, cladding, roof, plumbing systems and other areas of the 3D printed house are installed.
