Recycling is an important topic when using raw materials – including in the construction industry, which is responsible for high resource consumption and large amounts of CO2 emissions. One way to counteract this is to recycle building materials such as concrete.
“Recycled concrete is ultimately the concrete that we know from our environment, which is broken, crushed, processed and then processed into new concrete,” says Professor Andreas Gerdes, scientific director of the KIT Innovation HUB. The expert talks about the durability and sustainability of recycled concrete SWR Current.
