Has Microsoft released the first beta of Windows 12? There are some clues

In contrast with previous rumors, according to which Windows 12 may not arrive in 2024, today the colleagues at MSPowerUser give space to an interesting report based on the reporting of a user subscribed to the Windows Insider Canary channel.

According to what emerged and published by XenoPanther on Microsoft is reportedly evaluating “Build 27547” in Canary. This platform, for those who don’t know, is accessible and is used exclusively by employees of the Redmond company to test the new features arriving on Windows.

The peculiarity is given by the fact that the latest build of Windows published by Microsoft bears the number “27547”, and this is an important leap since usually in this channel the builds whose identification number begins with 26 are tested, and in fact the last one is “26040”. The leap is important, and in line with what was done previously: Windows 10 at this stage had builds that started with 19, while Windows 11 started with “22”. The fact that Microsoft moved to 27according to many, suggests that internal tests are underway for the new Windows 12 which has been talked about for some time.

A rather massive update for Windows 11 cannot clearly be ruled out, capable of bringing important new features, perhaps focused on artificial intelligence.
