Helldivers II Surpasses Sony’s Previous Records on PC
Helldivers II has taken the gaming world by storm, surpassing Sony’s previous records on PC since its release. The sci-fi bug-killing game has become the surprise of the month, with a current peak player count of 155,926 – more than 80,000 higher than God of War’s PC player count.
The success of Helldivers II is even more impressive considering it isn’t the biggest franchise at launch. According to the CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios, the game has sold around 1 million copies. Despite this success, Sony has yet to publicly acknowledge the game’s achievements.
The CEO expressed confusion as to why Sony hasn’t shared the game’s success, but with the numbers speaking for themselves, it’s clear that Helldivers II is doing exceptionally well.
