Falls, resurrections and more falls. The history of the Chinese giant is a parable that shows no signs of stabilizing, oscillating from time to time. After having undermined Apple’s dominance on the Chinese market, at least in the first quarter of the year, with the presentation in Dubai a few days ago Huawei wanted to reiterate a desire: to return to the protagonist on the European market with promising new products. This was before the news of the new American ban arrived, which effectively revoked Qualcomm and Intel’s licenses to sell chips to the Chinese giant. A new ax falling on Huawei and which will certainly have negative repercussions on the American market. Ban which in fact follows at a distance the one issued by Trump, which had been softened over time, prohibiting American companies from supplying Huawei with chips and processors if they were equipped with 5G technology.
Returning to the new products from Huawei presented in the UAE capital, these include new wearables, audio and smart offices, including the Watch Fit 3 and Watch 4 Pro Space Edition smartwatches, the MateBook with latest generation PaperMatte display and FreeBuds 6i earphones.

At the launch of the new products on global markets, Huawei also announced new proprietary software to support the devices: the GoPaint app, which offers the sensation of writing and painting in a vivid and realistic way, created thanks to the collaboration with the teams at the Huawei 2012 Lab research that operate in eight different fields – including materials, physical optics and graphic rendering – and professionals in the figurative arts sector. Again, on the photographic front, the Xmage technology, which has contributed to perfecting the mobile photography of Huawei devices.

The renovation work of the Chinese company particularly concerned smartwatches, with the novelty represented by the Watch Fit 3, created with a new squared design and new fitness and wellness features, including the nutritional analysis function, which helps users to find a balance between correct nutrition and exercise and the new Smart Sports function which advises which physical exercises to perform and for how long. With a weight of just 26 grams and a thickness of just 9.9 mm, it is at the top for lightness, with an autonomy that can reach up to seven days of use on a single charge. The Fit 3 is already available on the Huawei store for 159 euros.
On the notebook front, with the launch of the new MateBook The release is scheduled for next June with a base price of 1,999 euros for the version with Intel Core Ultra 7 processor.
At the same time, the new Huawei MateBook 14 notebook was also presented (15 mm thick and 1.4 kg in weight) which, due to its features and price range (1,099 euros), seems to be intended for users who need an effective and convenient for studying and working on the move.
