iPhone too full? Simple trick provides more space

You’re probably familiar with the problem: an iPhone’s memory is becoming full. Sooner or later it will be tight and you will have to make space again. Do you really have to believe in your beautiful favorite photos? Not necessarily, because with the following ingenious trick you can create space and still keep a back door open.

Already knew? On the iPhone, you don’t necessarily have to delete apps if you run out of memory; you can alternatively swap them out. Outsource? What does this mean and what is the difference to deleting?

iPhone function: outsourcing apps instead of deleting them creates space

You bet: There are a lot of apps on your iPhone that you don’t necessarily need, or not always. For example, a game that you have finished or applications that you only use on vacation, for example. Otherwise they just waste valuable storage space. However, you don’t want to lose all your data, settings or, for example, chat histories forever; direct deletion is out of the question. What you can do: Outsource the apps in question. We explain how this works in detail in the following video:

The decisive advantage: In the case of outsourcing, the app itself is deleted, but all personal data is retained. If you install the app again later, you can use the app as before and access your data directly again. Good to know: The app icon remains on the home screen. The small cloud next to the app name symbolizes the swapping, which can be reversed at any time.

Apple offers automatic if desired

If desired, the outsourcing process can also be automated. Then The iPhone will regularly swap out unused apps on its own and thus automatically create storage space. Useful for all users who simply don’t have time for such clean-up activities. We also explain how this works in the video above.

Nevertheless: If you no longer want to use apps in the future, please delete them directly to create space. Otherwise, by outsourcing you are keeping a back door open for later use – damn practical.
