Developer Riley Testut to Expand Game Simulator Delta to iPad
Earlier this month, developer Riley Testut launched the game simulator Delta on the iPhone App Store, allowing users to simulate retro games on their phones. Now, Testut has announced plans to further expand Delta to the iPad, providing users with the opportunity to play these games on a larger screen.
The launch of Delta on the App Store was made possible by a recent change in Apple’s guidelines. After years of banning retro game emulators, the company finally allowed such apps to be listed on the store. This change also applies to the iPad, opening up opportunities for Delta to be available on the larger device.
In a recent Threads post, Riley Testut shared that Delta for iPad will be included in the next major update of the app. Testut mentioned, “We’ve been working on it for a while and it’s almost complete, just needs some final touches on the controls and fixing some bugs.”
Initially, the launch on the iPad was not a priority for Testut, as the plan was to list Delta on AltStore PAL, a third-party application platform for the EU market. However, with Apple’s policy change, the focus has shifted to bringing Delta to the iPad with the upcoming 1.6 update.
Stay tuned for more updates on the release of Delta for iPad, which promises to enhance the gaming experience for users who enjoy retro games.
