The end of Nokia cell phones and smartphones has already been announced and has now been officially confirmed. The legendary brand will no longer appear on any new devices for the time being. At least not until a new licensee is found. The Nokia brand was licensed by HMD for several years and could now go to another manufacturer.
HMD says goodbye to Nokia
After Nokia exited the cell phone business a few years ago, the brand went first to Microsoft and then to Human Mobile Devices (HMD). Since then, many smartphones and regular cell phones have appeared under the legendary brand name. Recently, however, things have become increasingly quiet around Nokia and, as it now turns out, there was a good reason for that. HMD has officially announced that Nokia branding is no longer used by the group (Source: HMD). In keeping with this, a video was released explaining what HMD stands for:

In general, HMD doesn’t want to change at all after the separation of the Nokia brand. It’s just supposed to The focus is on our own brand Human Mobile Devices. It is not known which new smartphones and cell phones HMD would like to offer in the future. Support for Nokia owners remains
However, HMD is not immediately throwing support for Nokia cell phones and smartphones overboard. All promised software updates should continue to be rolled out. In addition, hardware support remains intact so that repairs and complaints can be carried out. HMD also offers support with your own repairs. This was exactly one of the most important areas in which HMD wants to continue to be active with its upcoming devices. Sustainability should remain one of the key points, so you can continue to repair your device yourself.
