Leaked Plans for the Xbox 720 Revealed
A new leak has surfaced, revealing that Microsoft had plans to release a console called the Xbox 720 back in 2012. The leak, reported by Idle Sloth, indicates that the console was set to be priced at just $299 and would support the next iteration of Kinect cameras.
In addition to the console, Microsoft had plans to launch a portable VR headset with 4G support for mobile gaming, called the Foral Lasa. However, despite these ambitious plans, the Xbox 720 never came to fruition and was ultimately much weaker than the Xbox One.
The leaked plans also revealed that the Xbox 720 was supposed to have major cloud support, something that Microsoft heavily emphasized with the Xbox One. This new information provides a fascinating look into what could have been the first and last iteration of the Xbox 720.
It’s interesting to consider what the gaming landscape might look like today if Microsoft had followed through with the release of the Xbox 720. The leak has sparked discussions among gamers and industry experts, prompting speculation about how the gaming industry could have been different if the console had been released. Despite the Xbox 720’s ultimate fate, it remains a topic of interest for those intrigued by the history and evolution of gaming consoles.
