The Danish dream technologies are not convincing
Recently I was in Denmark in a dream and was confronted with two technologies that left me perplexed. On the one hand, there was the self-propelled foam raft with a built-in AI-supported audio guide, with which A. and I took a harbor tour in Copenhagen and had great difficulty keeping our feet dry. And on the other hand, the mirror cabinet from the 60s with a special “Merge” button, which was once used for regular, forgery-proof transmission of one’s own body length to the health insurance company and was considered the epitome of technology-supported social progress at the time, before the function was switched off after two years and soon was forgotten.
