Metroid Prime 4 Development Rumors Surface as Completion and Testing Reports Emerge
After years of speculation and setbacks, it seems that the highly anticipated Metroid Prime 4 may finally be nearing completion. The ambitious project has faced numerous obstacles since its announcement at E3 2017, with multiple restarts and changes in development teams. However, new reports suggest that the finish line for the game may be in sight.
A recent video surfaced on the SuperMetalDave64 channel claiming that development on Metroid Prime 4 is complete, with a support studio confirmed to be working with Retro Studios. The team involved, Next-Gen Dreams 3D, is known for creating trailers and movie scenes, and has previously worked with major studios such as Ubisoft and Take-Two. According to the company’s CEO Portfolio, the partnership with Retro Studios was formed in September 2022, indicating that the completion of the trailer may have occurred nearly a year and a half ago.
In addition to the completion report, another intriguing piece of news has emerged regarding the testing of Metroid Prime 4. A tester named Edwin Aldwell claimed to have been playing demos of the game for over 10 months and reporting bugs. Aldwell even mentioned a specific bug-finding software called Jira, further adding credibility to his claims.
While these reports are not official confirmation of an imminent release, they have fueled speculation about the potential unveiling of Metroid Prime 4. With rumors swirling about the possible launch of a Nintendo Switch 2 this year, many anticipate that the long-awaited game could serve as an ideal companion for the new console.
As fans eagerly await more concrete news about Metroid Prime 4, it’s clear that the excitement and anticipation for the game remains as strong as ever.
