Huawei has been able to free itself almost completely from the clutches of the US government in recent months. New smartphones once again had their own Kirin processors and Chinese 5G modems installed. But now there is bad news. New high-end cell phones are said to be delayed. The US government could be behind this. But there is also another option available.
Huawei P70 Pro should be released later
The Mate 60 Pro was a breakthrough for Huawei. There were suddenly no longer any hardware restrictions in China, as the company was able to become independent of US technologies. At least that’s what it looked like so far. Some time ago, the US government targeted Huawei supplier SMIC and also imposed restrictions on it. This is supposed to be the reason why Huawei has to postpone the presentation of the P70 and P70 Pro. Instead of March, the presentation of the high-end smartphones will not take place until April or later (GSMArena).
Other sources contradict the reasoning. Huawei should not have any problems with components from the supplier for the new P70 smartphones, but quite simply want to present significantly more products than initially planned. In order to get this finished on time, the Chinese company is said to have decided to postpone the event.
Huawei simply introduced the Mate 60 Pro out of nowhere without much of an announcement, surprising everyone. It is quite possible that exactly the same strategy is planned this year too. The next few weeks will show what Huawei ultimately decides to do.

No new smartphones for Germany
Huawei is focusing entirely on China with its new smartphones and is massively increasing its market share there without any restrictions on hardware. Cell phones no longer come to Germany. But if Huawei presents other products such as smartwatches, tablets or other products, then these could also come to us. So the next few weeks won’t be completely uninteresting.
