Blizzard Announces Major Changes for Overwatch 2 in 2024
In a recent developer update video, game director Aaron Keller announced some major changes coming to Overwatch 2 this year. One of the biggest changes is that all heroes will be free for everyone at launch starting in April with the beginning of Season 10.
This means that players no longer have to grind through a battle pass to unlock new heroes, as all characters will be available from the start. In addition, the first non-binary character, Venture, will be joining the game as a damage-class character.
New players will also have access to all previously released heroes without the need for grinding after the Season 10 update. Keller also revealed new maps, changes to existing maps, trials of the new Clash mode and Hanaoka map, and the ability to purchase mythical skins.
Overall, these changes aim to make Overwatch 2 more accessible and enjoyable for all players. More details about these updates will be released before Season 10 begins in mid-April. Blizzard fans can look forward to a more inclusive and exciting Overwatch 2 experience in 2024.
