Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) PlayStation Blog has just announced the first live broadcast event of 2024, “State of Play”, which is set to feature more than 15 games in a 40-minute showcase. Among the highlighted new PS5 games to be featured are “Stellar Blade” and Rise of the Ronin.

The event is scheduled to take place on February 1 at 6 a.m. Taiwan time and will be available for viewing on official YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok channels. In addition to the new PS5 games, a new preview for PS VR2 will also be showcased during the event.

While the official lineup of appearances has not been confirmed, leaks from industry insiders suggest that games such as “Rise of Ronin”, “Death Stranding 2”, “FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH”, “Sonic Generations Remastered Edition”, “Silent Hill 2: Remastered Edition”, and new works like “Thriller”, “Deep Tunnel”, and “Judas” may be featured.

Famous whistleblower @billbil_kun also hinted that the multiplayer FPS “Concord” will announce gameplay and character information at the event, with the game expected to be unveiled as early as May 2023. It was also revealed that Firewalk Studios, a developer acquired by SIE in April, will be presenting as a PlayStation first-party studio.

In addition to the already exciting lineup, rumors have surfaced about a new Metro game titled “METRO AWAKENING” being announced as a VR game, while another rumor suggests that the new “Thriller” will also be a VR game, with the new main work to be displayed at the Xbox conference.

With so much anticipation building up for the event, fans of PlayStation can look forward to an exciting showcase of new and upcoming games during the “State of Play” live broadcast.
