Xiaomi’s Poco F6 Pro to be a Rebranded Redmi K70: Report
In the world of smartphones, rebranding is a common practice among manufacturers to cater to different markets and audiences. Xiaomi, known for its budget-friendly yet high-performance devices, is reportedly preparing to launch the Poco F6 Pro, which is said to be a modified version of the Redmi K70 currently available in China.
While international versions of Xiaomi’s devices usually differ in some aspects such as camera specifications, storage space, and processor, foreign media have uncovered evidence suggesting that the Poco F6 Pro may be identical to the Chinese version of the Redmi K70.
According to a document exposed by foreign media, the codename of the Poco F6 Pro, Vermee, is consistent with the Redmi K70. This discovery is significant as Xiaomi has not reused phone codenames in the past, indicating that the two devices could be the same model.
If this information holds true, the Poco F6 Pro will boast the same specifications as the Redmi K70, including the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and a large 5,000 mAh battery. The device is also expected to feature a 6.67-inch OLED screen with QHD+ resolution, a 50-megapixel main camera, and support for up to 120W fast charging.
