Switch on the PS4 on the console itself
Full of anticipation, you unpack the console, connect it and then want to press the power button – but where is it? There are a total of three different models of the PlayStation 4: The classic PlayStation 4 (CUH-1XXXX), died Slim-Variant (CUH-2XXXX) as well as the PlayStation 4 Pro (CUH-7XXXX). Depending on the version, the position and type of the power button differs.
Classic PS4 (CUH-1XXX)
Especially with the first version, it’s easy to overlook the power button. The Touch switch is located on the upper half of the front above the Blu-ray slot and below the line-shaped power indicator light.

PS4 Slim (CUH-2XXX)
The slimmer version of the PS4 has a haptic power button. This is located far left at the front in the Drive bay column.

The Pro version also has a haptic power button. This is far left in the lower side of the middle of the three webs to find.

Switch on PS4 via controller/remote control
You don’t necessarily have to use the console’s power button to turn on the PS4. You can also do this conveniently with the controller or a suitable PS4 remote control.
Switch on with controller
The PlayStation 4 can also be easily switched on using the original DualShock 4 controller. All you have to do is briefly press and hold the PS button in the middle of the gamepad.

Switch on with remote control
If you often use your PlayStation as a Blu-ray or media player, you can also buy a remote control for the PS4 system separately. With the PDP remote controls officially licensed by Sony (view on eBay), the console can then be switched on via remote control.
Caution: There are several third-party remote controls for the PlayStation 4. However, many of them are Unable to turn on the consoleso you have to press the power button beforehand or turn on the console with a controller.
