As Mooreās Law is Dead reports on YouTube, Sony is probably planning to return to the handheld console market. However, Mooreās Law is Dead emphasizes that it is mainly speculation that he made, but that he developed it in consultation with Sony. The console ā PS Vita 2, as heās tentatively calling it, is said to be powered by a custom AMD APU and is currently in the high-level design phase, meaning itās at least two years away and not yet for the publication was approved.

Sony has not yet defined specifications for this new Playstation handheld console, but Mooreās Law is Dead speculates that it will have 18 CUs. This is to ensure compatibility is maintained with all PlayStation 4 titles available on the PlayStation Store. In addition, the console should also be compatible with PlayStation 5 titles. However, it would be necessary to patch these titles beforehand so that they run smoothly on the device. Therefore, itās plausible that the new systemās GPU could run at 1.8GHz or slower due to the PlayStation 5ās variable clock speeds.
When and, above all, whether the handheld console will reach us in two years remains uncertain at the moment, as Sony has so far held back with information on this matter. However, it is believed that the handheld console could potentially be a part of the PlayStation 6 family. Given the current market for handheld consoles, it wouldnāt be surprising if Sony followed suit with its own model.
