The research analyzes how land use intensification affects biodiversity, particularly which species are displaced when yields are to be increased on the same area. The results show that worldwide, where land use is intensified, an average increase in yield of 20 percent is achieved. At the same time, however, there is an average loss of nine percent of all species that exist on these intensively managed areas. This underlines the ambivalence of intensive agriculture, as it combines economic advantages with significant losses in biodiversity.

The strengths of the MABEWO GREEN3 system lie in its scalability, high cultivation density, modularity and automation. Farmers have the opportunity to grow herbs, microgreens, young plants, berries and more all year round and under safe conditions and generate economic returns.
The central irrigation and nutrient supply on the lift make the entire system uncomplicated and reliable. On average, a complete growth cycle only lasts five days. A growth container can produce up to 7600 kg of fresh barley grass in this short time. In two growth containers, up to 16,400 kg are possible at the same time.
