The technology diary, on many channels
The book release of the 10-year anniversary edition of the technology diary was announced on our channels on Mastodon, on X/Twitter and on Bluesky. By the time it was written down a few weeks later, it was received as follows:
Mastodon: 14 reposts, 17 stars, replies from two people. 536 followers.
Xitter: 2 reposts, 9 hearts, 1 reply. Also 2 bookmarks. Viewed 494 times, 2784 followers.
Bluesky: 1 Herz. 95 Follower.
Tumblr: 7 Herzen.
So we can probably say that the technology diary is still pretty boring, in keeping with its motto; At least it’s apparently quite a long way from being a viral success. (Which, of course, does not challenge a real chronicler.)
I’ve already thought about a survey to find out where and how our readers are and want to be informed about new technology diary posts – I have no idea how long the maintenance of all three social media/microblogging profiles will continue to work. At the moment, with low statistical reliability, it appears that the tech journaling community on Mastodon is the most engaged.
