Stiftung Warentest has tested the best Windows laptops in 2024. PR/Business Insider
Stiftung Warentest tested Windows laptops. The results of the test most recently appeared in the September issue (2023) of “Test” magazine. A test of convertibles and ultrabooks was also published in January 2024.
The consumer organization examined the various Windows devices from the tests for basic functions such as computing and graphics performance, Internet surfing, email and photo editing. The screen, battery, handling and versatility of the Windows laptops were also taken into account.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro* was named the test winner and therefore the best Windows laptop. You can buy, download and read the entire test report at “Test.de”.

Stiftung Warentest tests Windows laptops
The hardware manufacturers that use Windows as standard include (almost) all well-known brands. Including: HP, Asus, Samsung, Acer, LG, Dell, MSI, Lenovo and of course Microsoft, the developers of Windows. This also means that there is a wide range of Windows devices available. Therefore has Stiftung Warentest concerned with the question, which Windows models are the best. The consumer organization initially focused on this Notebooks concentrated.
For the September issue of “Test” magazine Stiftung Warentest 16 different Windows laptops tested with screen diagonals between 15 and 17 inches. The devices cost between 600.00 and 1200.00 euros. The devices were used for the investigation the following criteria rated:

Screen (20 percent)
battery pack (20 percent)
handling (20 percent)
versatility (ten percent)
When it comes to basic functions, factors such as: Computing and graphics performance, Surf Internet, E-Mail and Photo editing taken into account, while the partial grade for the screen consists of things like picture quality, Reaction speed and Dependence on viewing angle put together. To evaluate handling, things like: Instructions for usedie Installation and Restorationthe everyday useany Operating noisesdie Keyboarddie Handiness and the processing examined.

15 out of 16 Windows laptops impress Stiftung Warentest
The positive result of the test: Of the 16 Windows notebooks examined Stiftung Warentest has it 15 awarded the quality rating good. The rest of the model was still satisfactory. For the Test winner the most expensive laptop was chosen Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro*. With the Overall grade 1.8 performed best overall. For comparison: The second-placed Windows laptops (tie between the Acer Aspire 5, the Samsung Galaxy Book 3 and the HP Envy) “only” achieved an overall grade of 2.1.
Although the test winner was the most expensive model, good notebooks must, according to Stiftung Warentest not necessarily expensive be. The consumer organization also recommends one Price-performance winner for half the price. This is the one Acer Aspire 3*, which costs around 550.00 euros and is good Overall grade 2.4 has reached.
