Threads, Meta is courting companies and content creators: sponsorships coming?

While we are still waiting for Meta Threads to arrive in Europe, a scoop from the well-known American magazine Axios reveals that i Instagram branded content tool could soon also make their debut on Threads, attracting many content creators and “business” users on the text platform of Mark Zuckerberg and associates.

According to Axios, Instagram’s branded content tools will simply come also reused on Threads, therefore they will work in essentially the same way, allowing those who already use Instagram for work to do the same with the new Meta social network. In addition, if indeed i tool will not change one iota, the creation of promotions and collaborations on Threads should be very simple and immediate, favoring the landing of many contents in partnership on the platform in no time.

Such a move could convince many creators to move to Threads from Instagram, or to start posting on Meta’s new social network as well as on Instagram and (possibly) on Facebook. Similarly, companies may also start to consider Threads an “interesting” platform to migrate to, thanks to the self-promotion possibilities that safe rules for branded content could guarantee.

In general, the approval of a Policy for Branded and Sponsored Content on Threads it would pass for simply adapting Instagram’s terms and conditions to the new platform, complete with a label “partnership a pagamento” imported from one social network to another. Like on Instagram, sponsorship programs will only be accessible to some brands, and not to others.

This sponsored content may replace ads on Threadsat least in the short term: Axios, in fact, reports that the Menlo Park text-based social network will not integrate ads until its user base “will reach critical mass”. At the same time, it seems that Threads will not try to push informational and political content, which could therefore remain the prerogative of other social networks (such as Twitter).
