At CES 2024, Razer launched Project Esther, the world‘s first high-definition tactile gaming cushion powered by their latest innovation, Razer Sensa HD Haptics.

This new technology allows players to not only see and hear the action in the game but also feel it through the cushion made of woolen cloth. Razer is partnering with InterDigital, a global wireless, video, and artificial intelligence R&D company, to demonstrate the world‘s first MPEG tactile streaming experience at Mobile World Congress 2024.

The demonstration at the event showcases a new gaming experience that has to be seen to be believed. The Razer Sensa HD Haptics setup includes the multi-CES award-winning Project Esther, a modified version of the Razer Kraken HyperSense V3 headset, and HD haptic controllers, offering a total of 20 haptic endpoints.

The demo will highlight the capabilities of Razer Sensa HD Haptics through a prototype racing game designed to bring the world of racing to life with unparalleled precision. Every in-game event, from acceleration to turns, is associated with a unique tactile experience, providing players with an immersive racing adventure.

Razer’s vision for haptic technology expands touch to new horizons through integrated Interhaptics technology. Tactile streaming is not limited to games but also extends to entertainment such as movie streaming, cloud gaming, music, and live events.
