Based on temperature, precipitation, snow, radiation and relative humidity, climate impact researchers have calculated 63 meteorological indicators as part of the “Cost of Inaction” (COIN) project. The team from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) Vienna and GeoSphere Austria envisages the following scenario for the city of Steyr: The annual mean temperature, which was 9.6 degrees between 1981 and 2010, will increase by 3.6 degrees to 13.2 degrees increase between 2071 and 2100.
