Viennese startup buys recipe portal ichkoche.at

Anyone who has googled a recipe a few times knows the website: ichkoche.at. With 1.5 million unique clients, it is one of the 20 largest websites in Austria – and now no longer owned by the Styria publishing house, but by a Viennese startup called Happy Plates. What the acquisition (all details here too) means and what strategy he is pursuing with it is now explained to us in the podcast Co-founder and CEO Simon Jacko. The topics:

  • How Happy Plates evolved
  • Why the startup ichkoche.at is buying from Styria-Verlag
  • How the deal came about
  • What is now planned with ichkoche.at
  • How the startup with HappyCart is increasingly developing into a software provider for orders
  • Recipes as a common thread through Simon Jacko’s founding life
