China’s Vivo X Fold3 to Support Remote Control of Mac

Chinese smartphone company, Vivo, has revealed a sneak peek of their latest innovation, the vivo X Fold3. The company’s @ibinguniverse recently shared a photo of the folding screen mobile phone, boasting the device’s compatibility with Mac remote control. This feature will allow users to seamlessly transition their phone into a Mac computer in mere seconds.

In a bold statement, @ibinguniverse also claimed that Vivo is offering functionalities that Apple does not, with the goal of opening up the Apple ecosystem to attract Apple fans. This, he hopes, will ease the transition for Apple fans who have been contemplating a switch to folding screen phones.

The vivo X Fold3 and X Fold3 Pro have already been registered with Chinese regulatory authorities, hinting at an imminent release. Some leaked specifications of the new foldable phones include Snapdragon 8 Gen3 platform, which will greatly enhance its imaging capabilities.

The phone will also feature a 50-megapixel dual-layer transistor main lens and a periscope telephoto lens, expected to adopt the outsole mid-magnification strategy. Furthermore, the new device will continue the previously well-received single-point ultrasonic internal and external dual fingerprint identification strategy.

The charging specification for the X Fold3 has been changed to 100W wired + 50W wireless, omitting the 120W fast charging seen in its predecessor, possibly in a bid to prioritize thinness and lightness. The large 2K LTPO screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, and the phone is expected to be around 230 grams in weight.

Vivo has not officially announced the release date of the new folding screen phones, but they are anticipated to be launched in March, showcasing Vivo’s continued dedication to innovation in the smartphone industry.
