WhatsApp Users Need to be Prepared for Changes in 2024
The year 2024 has just begun, and with it comes the anticipation of changes in the popular messaging app, WhatsApp. As the app is constantly updated to meet the needs of its users, some phones are about to face limitations in accessing and using the application.
WhatsApp has announced that from February 2024, several devices will no longer be compatible with the messaging service. This means that users with older phones may need to consider upgrading their devices to continue using WhatsApp.
For Android users, the exclusion will affect devices that operate with versions prior to Android 5.0, released in 2014. On the other hand, for Apple users, only those iPhones with iOS 12 or later versions will have the ability to continue using the app.
Some of the smartphones that will no longer support WhatsApp starting in February 2024 include: Galaxy Core, Galaxy Trend Lite, Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy S3 mini, Galaxy Trend II, Galaxy X cover 2, Huawei Ascend Mate, Ascend G740, and Ascend D2, among others. Additionally, several older models of iPhones, including iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, iPhone 5, and iPhone 6S, will also be affected.
WhatsApp is continuously evolving to provide the best instant communication service, and as a result, some devices will no longer be compatible with the app as of February 2024. Users are encouraged to review the list of phones that will no longer support WhatsApp to ensure they are prepared for the changes.
In addition to the upcoming changes, WhatsApp Web has recently introduced new features and improvements. Users are advised to stay informed and take necessary actions to avoid any disruptions in their messaging experience.
