Twelve Dead in Confrontation between Civilians and Mexican Military

Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas.- A deadly confrontation in Miguel Alemán, Tamaulipas, between armed civilians and the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) has left 12 people dead, according to authorities.

The Tamaulipas Security Spokesperson reported that the armed civilians attacked the Sedena, leading to the deaths of 12 alleged attackers. In addition, authorities seized 12 long weapons, cartridges, and magazines of various calibers.

The Security Spokesperson specified that the attack occurred in the Loma Linda neighborhood of Miguel Alemán.

This incident is the latest in a string of violent confrontations in Mexico, highlighting the ongoing security challenges facing the country.
