Driver Arrested After Crashing into Gas Station Pump in Drunk Driving Incident

Early this Sunday, a motorist was captured after crashing into a fuel pump at a gas station in an attempt to evade a traffic control, as reported by the Vice Ministry of Transportation. The incident took place at a gas station on the Litoral highway near San Blas beach in La Libertad.

The driver, Bryan Alonso AL, was removed from the vehicle by agents from the Traffic Division of the National Civil Police (PNC). Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.

Following the crash, a breath alcohol test was conducted on the driver, revealing a staggering 143 degrees of alcohol. As a result, the driver was arrested for dangerous driving.

This arrest was just one of many reported by the VMT between Saturday night and early Sunday morning. Since the start of the year, the National Road Safety Observatory has recorded approximately 300 arrests of dangerous drivers.

The driver’s attempt to evade anti-doping control and the subsequent crash due to driving drunk highlight the dangers of driving under the influence. Authorities continue to crack down on dangerous driving to ensure the safety of all road users.
