On Tuesday in the north-eastern suburbs of London, United Kingdom, a man with a sword he attacked some passers-by and two police officers: five people were rescued on the spot, who were then taken to hospital. Police said one of them, a 14-year-old boy, later died.
The man, who is 36 years old, was arrested shortly after: there is no information on his identity, nor on the sword he was armed with. The police, however, said they did not consider the attack a terrorist act.
The attack occurred in Hainault, in the Redbridge neighborhood, one of borough (the administrative divisions) into which London is divided. However, investigations and investigations are underway, at the moment the Hainault metro stop has been closed and public transport is being diverted to leave the area free.
