On Thursday, the British respondent, who requested anonymity, arrived at Frankfurt Airport on a German military plane.

British business consultant: “It took me several hours to get close to the (terminal) gate. I yelled that I was British, please let me leave here. A soldier called me and it was chaotic. They had guns and they were firing guns. . They have no choice but to disperse the crowd. I understand this.”

After the Taliban occupied Kabul on Sunday, the business adviser and thousands of people fled to the airport and arrived at the terminal where the US and German troops are located.

British business consultant: “A few hours later, there was a panic in the terminal. Some people said that the Taliban had occupied the airport and they were going to come in. All the people at the airport, including the pilots, the people who issued the boarding pass, and the cleaners, all left.”

He and other people waiting to board the plane spent several nights in the terminal. During this period, some Afghans without passports and documents broke into the airport.

British business consultant: “They ransacked the airport and terminal. They destroyed everything inside, including the computer restaurant. We were scared, but we were not allowed to go out because the Taliban were outside and the US military was here. What can we do? You can only stay here.”

On Wednesday, the British finally boarded the flight to Uzbekistan.
